Life After 2:55 P.M. In order to earn money and gain valuable experience, many Riley stu- dents hold jobs at local businesses while they attend school. A lot of teenagers feel that holding a job is important because it teaches one to allocate their time as well as budget their money. Many students have ex- pensive hobbies. Some students are able to gain employment In a place that will help them with their college majors or, if not planning to attend college, with their occupations directly out of high school. Others hold jobs at restau- rants, shoe stores or clothing stores — a place that offers flexible hours and a reasonable salary. Go For The Gold! Nineteen Riley artists were award- ed 26 out of 120 goid Iceys this year in the Schoiastic Art Awards compe- tition. Aian Waiiing ' 88, and Troy Smith ' 89, won Kodalc Medaiiions of Excel- ience nominations and Lisa Endres ' 88, received a Haiimaric nomination. Drawings and photos wiii be sent to New Yoric in May for National compe- tition. There the Haiimaric company will select one from each regional level in the winning artist from each region will be awarded $100.00.
