Hoping For Good Times When the Riley swimmers started the summer season, they hoped to have a successful summer and hoped to Improve their times, but more than that they hoped for a suc- cessful swim season at Riley. About the same time at the Y.M.C.A. swimming and diving Championship, Steve Wosick ' 90 broke the 400 i.M. record with his 1st place victory with the time of 4:51.95. Keeping In Touch Seeing friends for the first time at the end of summer is exciting and dreadful. Will my friends still like me? Have they changed? I feared that I would grow apart from my friends during the sum- mer, commented Sue Pethe ' 89. Maintaining good friendships means staying in touch with your friends over the summer. Riley stu- dents do this by going to the mall, talking on the phone, or even driv- ing around and seeing people. Al- though hopes and fears vary from person to person, one thing will al- ways remain the same: there will always be friendship among the Riley High students. Right: Sophomores Heather Leippert, Lara Vitale, Jennifer Dolce, and Jaclcie Solmos keep in touch over the summer by attend- ing football games. 10 SumiiMr Above: Vianda Hill, ' 88 and Stephanie Stokes ' 88 enjoy cheering enthusiastically at the foot ball game.
