A smiling court attends the queen. Sue Barnfield, Sharon Csernits, and NIta Hawley ride atop their open-air carriage at the Riley-Washintgon half-time ceremonies. Our courageous football captains, Paul Nelson and Dave Hendrix, risk life and limb to get the Wash- ington-Riley Roundup off to a good start. Every girl ' s dream . . : . to be a queen. Solly Yoder bears her crown proudly as she is escorted off the field by Dave Izdepski. How does a queen get to be a queen? Each senior homeroom nominates two girls to run for court. There is uniform campaigning, and a picture of each girl is put up in the halls. A week after the homeroom nominations, the entire student body votes to elect the court. A final election decides who is to be QUEENI 13
