Moriarity 90 SPORTS Tennis is the type of sport which reli on individual strengths, but most impc tant is having a powerful team that wor well together. According to coach K McKenna, 'SAS a group we were stror We had a lot of depth and that is impc tant. Leading the teams and in top positic were returning seniors Dave Stibor, D Moriarity, and newcomer Scott Reddie Competition was tough in the Mid-V1 ley 4A League this seasong not tougl than expected though. We were fighti for 3rd with Kennedy and Granada. mingham, we assumed, would take the tle as they have the last l5 out of years, stated McKenna. Tremendous assets to the team were v erans Jai K. Kim, Erik Holmes, Gary Hendro and John Lehr. Also success was sophomore Greg Offers. The season was a challanging one, ax its' turn-out was to no ones dissapoii ment. Muroka N 1 X If .7 l i BASKETBALL Although this years Varsity Basketball team coached by Jim Thompson was inexpe- rienced and undersized, the team managed to stick together and prove to be a tough com- petitor. Led by starters Desha Taylor, Vin- cent Jack, Wendell Williams and John Benus this years team managed to pull out three games including their final league game against San Fernando. Prospects for a win-i ning season next year are on an upswing with i the advent of practice over the summer. Al for Two.
