ADVENTURE GAMING CLUB Students involved in the Adventure Gaming Club en- joy participating in role-playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons. The games interest people who enjoy sto- ries of Knighthood, Dragons, Alchemists and Sorcery. The club meets weekly and games go on continuously. ss-is Lift! I38 ORGANIZATIONS ACADEMIC DECATHLGN Academic Decathlon members competed as indivi- duals and as a team in a city-wide competition held in November of 1983, answering questions related to Eco- nomics, Language, Literature, Mathematics, and Sci- ence. The goals ofthe Academic Decathlon are to inspire intellectual competitiveness, encourage academic gener- alists, and better promote the ability to communicate. AMERICAN INDIAN CLUB The American Indian Club participates in many cul- tural activities as Indian Craft, film presentations, host- ing community guests and professional speakers and field trips to areas rich in American Indian Culture. All of the activities are designed to increase and enhance the American Indian student's knowledge and appreciation of his or her tribal history and culture.

, , 7 BOOSTER CLUB The Booster Club at Monroe High is mainly composed of Monroe faculty and interested and concerned mem- bers of society who wish to improve the campus, aid in the development of varied programs for students, and create a more desirable scholastic atmosphere for all. The Booster Club is solely responsible for several activi- ties around the campus. CHILDCARE Childcare is a student-run class conducted during per- iods three and four on campus. The students involved in the class work with preschool age children teaching them pre-reading and mathematics. Monroe students also train the children in music, drama, storytelling, and exer- cise. This program is valuable to involved Monroe stu- dents as well as the preschoolers. The students learn through their own daily experiences with the children. .-f-. - - CLUB INTERNATICNAL Club International attempts to immerse different stu- dents from many cultures around the world. Members celebrate their holidays, discuss world affairs, partici- pate in scholastic activities and programs, and acquaint themselves with American Culture. .. . . .. . .. . . . .. . .
