Tim Poston, a member of the Yearbook Staff m.c.'d the event all three days. The Junior class played the Sophomore class in a close game on the opening day ofthe tournament and emerged victorious as they did in the game against the Seniors on the following day. However in the final game against the fac- ulty, they fought hard but didn't make it. The final tally was 2-l for the faculty. N ynxtmxigyi ACTIVITIES l27

all the dirty work. ,, caught. 'WI TER DANCE Winter Fantasy, the theme of this yearls annually held winter dance proved to be a terrific success and a delight to all who at- tended. Couples swayed to the traditional slow dances, but also enjoyed many current pop, soul, disco, and new wave tunes as well. Dancers were outfitted in a wide variety of attire, ranging from formal to a semi-formal to casual. Dancers displayed their talents in numerous styles of dancing, including new wave and break dancing. Refreshments were served by members of Monroe's Sopho- more and Junior classes. Thanks to the sup- port of Monroe's Administration, this year's Winter Dance was a tremendous success. ACTIVITIES 129
