HTHIEVES CARNIVAL Thieves Carnival is a comedy of disguise, masquerade, intrigue and young love. While its overtones are fairly pessimistic, its style is gay and light-hearted. Set in France in the period between the World Wars, Thieves Car nival tells us that to overcome the bitterness and boredom of life, we must play the comedy of life with all the zest of youth.
