BUS DRIVERS Mr. Norman Williams, our head bus driver, was born in Los Angeles. He attended Franklin High School, and after graduating began his early work experience lead- ing to his present vocation. Driving buses has been his occupation for twenty years. During this time most of his work has been in the Los Angeles County area. Mr. Williams was made head bus driver of our two- way radio system buses by taking examinations and qualifying for the appointment. His duties as head bus driver include the supervisio nof thirty-four buses and the routing and scheduling of these buses. An added activity of Mr. Williams is to transport football teams, track teams, and various other groups to different places in California and the United States. CUSTODIAL STAFF Mr, Joseph Siegler has been with the Los Angeles School Board for a total of nine years, He worked at the Los Angeles College of Business, and is now Supervising Custodian here at Monroe. Mr. Siegler was born on .lune 28, l9l8, in Dumont, New Jersey. He attended Branch Agricultural College in Cedar City, Utah, and Los Angeles Business College in Los Angeles, California. He is married and has four children. During World War ll, he was an aerial gunner in the Army Air Force and completed twenty-four combat missions over Germany. He spent a total of ten months overseas. ln his spare time, he enioys gardening and boys' youth activities. At the present time he is manager of the Northridge Little League. CDFFICE STAFF Four years with the famous Mayo Brothers Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is one of the highlights of the career of Mrs. Ruth Hall, our school nurse. Travel is one of Mrs. Hall's favorite hobbies, and she hopes to practice her hobby this summer by taking a trip to Mexico with the Geographical Society of South- ern California. Mrs. Hall graduated from the Columbus Hospital School of Nursing, which is affiliated with Loyola Uni- versity in Chicago. After her career with the Mayos, she moved on to the University of California Medical Center in San Francisco, followed by several years at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, before she became affiliated with the Los Angeles School System. Z - I, ,Q CAFETERIA STAFF Mrs. Hanna Richardson, Cafeteria Manager, was born near a Navaio reservation in New Mexico. Upon finish- ing high school, she decided to take a course at the Colorado State College of Agriculture and Mechanical Arts. She then took her dietetic internship at Highland Hos- pital in Oakland, California. Mrs. Richardson has since served as dietician in the Dante Hospital in San Fran- cisco, Garfield Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., and Vancouveer Permanente Hospital in Vancouver, Washington. Upon coming to l.os Angeles she was em- ployed at the Fair Avenue Elementary School. Mrs. Richardson, now living in Sun Valley, is also an active homemaker for her three children and her hus- band, who is now retired from the Air Force. Her hob- bies are ceramics and gardening.
