ROSE FESTIVAL The screaming and en- thusiasm of the audience was an inspiration to the six Rose Festival candidates sitting excitedly on the stage awaiting the final de- cision. The audience was ecstatic as the girls were escorted down the aisle, with the former Monroe princesses. The excitement built throughout the assem- bly until the envelopes were finally passed out. The audience roared their approval as the girls quickly tore open the envelopes containing the name of Monroe's Rose Festival princess--Princess Cheri Zimmerman.
