TRACK AND TENNIS This year the track team numbered about 30 members. Ms. Cook and Mr. Abrahamson coached the team. Marilyn Woodley, Linda Dienstel, and Des eri Johns on represented Mon- roe at the state tournament. Linda Dienstel placed third in the javelin. They were coached by Mrs. Egbers, a teacher at a Portland ele- mentary school. The team practiced every day after school in the spring. They used the Portland Indoor Tennis Center for practice.
