MEDICAL AND DENTAL The Medical Major is a two year program for juniors and seniors. The juniors take such classes as Anatomy-Phyi- ology, Nutution and Human Development to help pre- pare them for next fall as seniors. The seniors spent two quarters as Medical Office Assistants and Certified Nurses Aid Training. They spend two days in class and three days in Providence Hospital. The most interes- ting duties of the seniors was getting to practice in a medical environment. The speakers who came to talk to the senior medical class were Medical Office Assistants and Health C Agency Representative. The Dental Program was a one year major. Chemistry, biology, typing, bookkeeping, and health careers help prepare the students for a Dental careers. As seniors, you learn important information such as preclinical dental sciences, Resrorative Den- tistry and Community Health-Preventive Dentistry. The class time work is ap- proximately one-third of the year. For one quarter the students will spend three days a week at the Dental School. Later in the year the students worked in Dental Labratories and as Dental business office as- sistants. A. S. Cope works with children at the U of O Crippled Ch.ildren's Division. B.j. Stai assists dentist at the U of O Dental School. C. S. Mathies feeds a child in the Crippled Children's Division. D. L. Green yells loudly as K. Murphy attempts to get a blood sample.
