ART AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION Physical Education is a required course for all freshman. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors can take P. E. as an elective course. Miss Cook and Miss Morgan make up the P. E. staff. Students par- ticipate in such athletic activities as basketball, volleyball, softball, soc- cer, field hockey and bowl- ing. . A. Miss Cook and B. Love discuss P.E. activities for the day. B. Miss Morgan appears to be busy with paper work. C. Students in the advanced P.E. class enjoy a game of volleyball. Two levels of art are offered at Monroe. They are General Art and Ad- vanced Art. All art classes are taught by Mr. Schnur. This year Mr. Schnur took his Advanced Art class to visit studios of some Port- land artists. Mr. Schnur displayed many of his stu- dent's art projects on the first floor throughout the year. B C
