CHILD DEVELOPMENT AND COMMERCIAL FOODS Child Development is open to both juniors and seniors. During the junior year, twenty Weeks were spent in the Nursery School Observation Laboratory. Seniors spent ten Weeks on nursery school observation and ten Weeks on field ex- perience. This program prepare students for an im- mediate job in any area of Child Development. Commercial Foods is a two-year major offered to juniors and seniors. Stu- dents learned how to perpare and serve food. They cooked many luncheons for the faculty and school func- tions. They had many guest speakers and also Went on several field trips during the year. The trips were to facilities at Port- land Community College and Lloyd Center. B A. Mrs. Irwin assists child in Nursery School with puzzle. B.D. jackson and K. Reed watch as Mrs. Lyons puts finishing touches on Christmas cookies. C.S. Mann, C. Young, D. johnson, G. Perman, D. Phenning, J. Leverton and C. Johnson lead Nursery scholl children in caroling.
