BUSINESS Monroe's many business courses offer a wide field of of training. Eight different business classes are offered: Personal Finance, Shorthand, Typing, Career Exploration, Data Word Processing, and Bookkeep- ing. The many kinds of machines students Work on include typewriters, ten key, adding machine, printing calculators and three different kinds of duplicator. Within the business de- partment Clerical Office Practice and Shorthand are Major Courses. Clerical Office Practice is designed to prepare stu- dents at the job entry level for positions in the busi- ness World. Shorthand is a two year course. During the first year the student learn to read and Write the short- hand alphabet. The remain- der of the course prepares the student to be a secre- taries in the business world. B 3 rf' A.
