Social Directors Many students know the Social Directors as the ladies who help fresh- men sign out, give late permissions, and give general information in Alumnae. However, few students know that these ladies also serve as advisors to the Social Committee, give teas, and arrange flowers in Alumnae Hall. Dormitory Hostesses The housemothers of Madison are responsible for the care of the dormitories and the welfare of the girls who live in them. These women are always willing to help their girls in any way possible. Mrs. Yancey and Mrs. Lincoln are the Social Directors of Madison. Division of Teacher Education Since Madison was founded for the education of teachers, this division is an important part of the college. The departments of Education and Psychology are included in this division. Although Madison ' s curricula have expanded since its founding, the education of teachers is a vital part of the college. The responsibility of training the best teachers rests in the hands of these professors. Charles G.
