FIELD HOCKEY This year the girls' Field Hockey team had its best season ever. They tied for third in Western League. The team played a new type of formation which proved to be a great advantage. Instead of a defensive game the team played offensively. BASKETBALL Defending their first place title, the Girls' Basketball Team opened play in early March. They were the pre-season favorites to win 1st place in Western League and go on to the C.I.F. Champi- onship. Led by Sue Apostoli and Lisa Hoffman, the seven varsity players practiced hard each morning to achieve their final suc- cess. 258 Athletics
