5 Few sports programs in the history of Madison High School have enjoyed the success that Coach Dave Pais and his wrestling teams have. This season was no exception. The wrestling team made it four Western League Championships in a row by rolling past all five league opponents. The Hawks gained revenge on Uni- versity for last year's upset by smashing the Dons 30- 20. Coach Pais also introduced something new to Western League in the form of Ma Maids. These thirteen Western League in the form of to«.i Maids. V. BASEBALL Our Warhawk Baseball team proved to be one of the Western League’s better teams. Coach Bob Roeder blended hard work, a lot of hustle, and high team spirit to achieve an extremely potent attack, both on the field and at the plate. Madison displayed its strength in an early season victory over highly regarded El Capitan and found itself in the top ten several times during the course of the season. 232 Athletics
