BASKETBALL The 1974-75 basketball season was one of Madison's finest. The Hawks placed fourth in the Summer Pepsi League and grabbed the number one preseason rank- ing by the San Diego Evening Tribune. With nine re- turning lettermen and six newcomers to the varsity scene, the Warhawks were able to compete with the best of the teams in San Diego County. With perennial All-CIF forward Art Leahy among the county scoring leaders for the majority of the season. Madison came up with some dramatic victories. 228 Athletics
