214 This year's three pre-game pep rallies help tocreateenthusiasm for the Warhawk football games. With the help of our great Pep Band, dedicated cheerleaders, and Wilma Warhawk. Ma- dison students emerged with the needed spirit to spur the Warhawks on to success. In the first rally of the season. Be true to your school” could be heard echoing through the gym. The cheerleaders coordinated a skit with this tune to spark the spirit at Madison. A second pep rally was staged focusing towards the involvement of the students. A victory cake was created with essential ingredients such as eggs for spirit, flour for determination, and handfuls of sugar for energy. These ingredients, along with football player Tony Rodriguez, made up the cake batter. This cake was baked by the spirited en- thusiasm from the audience, which lasted far into the game. Another rally came into motion at Homecoming. In a football line-up the cheerleaders imitated a few of the players who made this season possible. The spirit which was ignited by the students' participation in each of these pep rallies gave con- fidence to our mighty Warhawk team. Organizations

PEP BAND The two organizations on our campus which help promote school spirit are Pep Club and Pep Band. The two groups attend football and basketball games, wrestling matches, and many other school activities. Their participa- tion in athletic events helps to keep school spirit strong and adds to the excitement of each competition. Organizations 213
