MARCHING BAND One of the first predicaments that the 1974-75 Marching Warhawks had to over- come was the unavoidable reality of 65 uniforms and 81 members. Because of this problem, the band was often viewed in Class B uniforms, known to many as blue band jackets and corduroy pants. The Marching Band participated in three competition parades, consisting of the Old Town Parade and the Escondido Parade, the winner of which would con- tinue on to the Rose Bowl. Like many other school organizations, the Marching Band started two weeks before school began, dipping into last bit of summer for it's loyal members. The Band performed it's favorite theme. Shaft, at four home foot- ball games, half-time shows for Mesa. Grossmont. and USIU’s homecoming game. 204 Organizations
