LETTERMEN As times change so do school or- ganizations. The Lettermen's Club has not been exempt from this. While interest has not been as high as an- ticipated. the Lettermen have still made several contributions to the school. A few of these contributions are cleaning up the stadium after football games, the sponsoring of the juice machines in the boy's gym. and the partial financing of the basket- ball team s victorious trip to El Cen- tro. The club, under the guidance of Coach Dick Clem, also raised money to buy equipment not included in the sports budget. 1 Madleens: Front Row: J.Walton-Prcsident. A.Degen. T.Boyd-Vice Presi- dent. MADLEENS One of the most dedicated and concerned service groups in our school is Madleens. This special group of girls asks for no recog- nition for the extra time and effort they take from their busy sched- ules to help the school and com- munity. The Madleens goal is to give help where it is needed. They gave a Halloween party to the handicapped children at Schwiet- zer School, gifts and time to local hospitals, and also ushered at many school functions. The money for all the activities came from funds raised at a rummage sale at Grants in the early fall. 178 Organizations

STAGECRAFT In Stagecrafts the students build stair- cases. houses, and room interiors to rep- resent the plays the drama department selects. This year they worked on the sets for Arsenic and Old Lace and created a home built around the turn of the century. It was very convincing and added greatly to the success of the play. In the spring they created the set for the drama pro- duction of Harvey. 1 2 3 4 5 6 Howard Golk setting the spot lights Stagecraft: Front Row: D.Scales. F.Bently. J.Swart. K. Smith. S.Dimeff.
