TALON Providing information to students and faculty concern- ing the activities on Madison campus is not an easy task. Mrs. Emery, and her dedicated Talon staff undertook this job as each issue of the Talon was prepared. With the strong literary talent of Mrs. Emery and the experience of several returning staff members. Madison's paper proved to be very successful this year. The high quality of the pa- per was due to the use of both new and old ideas. As each issue came out. the staff felt that the many sacrifices they made were worthwhile. Many unique ideas were con- tributed by each staff member, which created articles of interest to the students at Madison. 166 Organizations

Every girl at Madison be- longs to Girls' League. At- tending the meetings and participating in activities are the only requirements to be an active member. Sadie Hawkins and Twerp Week are the most popular Girls' League activities. They also sponsor Mum Sales. The Medical Clerks and Health Careers programs here at Madison provide training for girls interested in the medical field. Medi- cal Clerks learn to do the paper work involved in medicine. Health Career students go to hospitals and actually learn to care for patients. 168 Organizations
