After moving to a bigger room in June of '74. the 1975 Pros- pectus Staff seemed to be off to a good start. The Editor-in- Chief. Ernestine Collins and Pat Neary attended a yearbook seminar in August where they spent many afternoons swim- ming at Blacks Beach. They brought back many good ideas not all of which were used in the yearbook. Some staff members came to a photography class during the summer which was sponsored by Robinson's. They were taught the proper use and handling of camera equipment. Soon after the start of school came the panic of deadlines. Dedicated staff members worked hard on weekends making last minute changes and corrections. On such a weekend a few lucky people were invited to enjoy Martha Clark's cook- ing. One Sunday afternoon we discovered our room did have a burglar alarm. While looking for photographs twenty-five armed guards rushed in ready to capture a burglar. It was only one police officer, but who was counting? Apart from all the hard work and frustrations, we did have alot of good times. Birthday parties and eating in class were daily occurrences. We were accompanied by the sounds of Tim Doht munching on Fritoes. (which he never shared). January 17th was set aside for the staff to dress up and go to the Southwestern Yacht Club and have the staff picture taken on Debbie Root's boat. Tony Rodriquez, in a skirt and Pat Neary on a peg leg. what a group! The day almost ended with Ernestine Collins and Noel drying off after a swift toss into the chilly water of the bay.
