The Dawning of Life As the saffron tinted sun slowly and silently Rises above the pale majestic blue-grey mountains, A new day dawns, bringing with it an aurora Of pinkish light which bathes the land in a Rainbow of prismatic color. As the sun creeps its head above the Fog shrouded mountain peaks of the east. A new day dawns, bringing with it the awakening Of life, of all things big and small. Bold and bashful. As the sun stirs from its eternal nesting place. Bringing nourishment to all living things of the earth. A new day dawns, bringing with it a glow Which forever warms the chill marrow of Cold earth of ancient night. As the sun gently ascends into the heavens. Light shines on the dark of the world. Bringing with it the illuminating hope that all That is right and just, warm and bright Will survive, for a new day is dawning. Pat Roberts
