Four Madison Seniors Qualify for National Merit Awards This year, four Madison seniors, (pictured from left to right) Carl Wheeler, Tom Whiteside, Gary Wright, and Marilyn Summcy took top honors qualifing as semi- finalists for the National Merit Awards. These students showed consistent superiority in the areas of Social Studies-Natural Sciences, Hnglish, Mathematics and word usage. Bank of America Awards 15 Madison Seniors The 24th year of the Bank of America Awards Pro- gram marked the selection of 15 Madison seniors chosen for their achievement in specific fields. Selection was on the basis of scholastic attainment, sense of civic respon- sibility, and evidence of leadership giving promise of future success and service to society.
