A Time for Reflection . . . As the last few pages of Prospectus '71 were final- ly mailed off to the publisher and the last deadline was completed, the annual staff was filled with mix- ed emotions—relief followed by the excitement and suspense of waiting for the finished product to ar- rive. Now as we eagerly examine our creation, mem- ories flood back hours of writing copy, captions and headlines, selecting pictures, designing pages and fighting deadlines. We hope that we have cap- tured the spirit of life at Madison and that you may enjoy reminiscing through these pages in future years. The American Yearbook Company and expecially Mr. Charles Binkowski have been extremely cooper- ative and helpful in helping us solve technical prob- lems and in providing us with the necessary materials for putting together these pages. Busco-Nestor studies made our task much less difficult by their prompt and efficient photographic service. The staff expresses its thanks to Busco- Nestor’s Yearbook Coordinator, Mr. Dave Young and to a Madison student, Joanne Marine who ser- ved as a messenger, helping us to get our materials to and from the studio. Steve Gonzalez, photogra- pher for the Talon, also deserves special recognition for his fine photographic contributions. And finally, Mr. Newton, thank you for those many extra hours of work and worry, your unfailing interest and guidance and your sincere friendship. We couldn’t have done it without you.
