Madison Tennis Team Shows Future Promise The Warhawk tennis team underwent a stage of rebuild- ing this year. Only two of the varsity members were sen- iors. The rest of the team was comprised mainly of sopho- mores, indicating potential for the next two years. Madison Swimmers Start Water Polo Club ■ Enthusiastic swimmers organized a water polo club for the first year at Madison. During the summer members began playing through the Boys’ Club and belonged to a team headed by Don Abshcar. When school started the boys decided that they wanted a club on campus. Mrs. Ardapple and Mrs. Rosser agreed to sponsor it. Steve Byers served as president of the club. During the year the Water Polo Club tried, without success, to gain team status. Powerful Drives Dominate League Long hours of practice were needed to develop the exacting skill and pinpoint accuracy that marked this year’s Golf team. Early in the season they shocked La Jolla’s top ranked team in an upset vic- tory at Los Pcnasquitos.
