Responsibility Stressed in R.O.T.C March, March, March; spit, and polish is all many students asso- ciate with R.O.T.C. Actually R.O.T.C. provides an integral part of the Madison curriculum and gives the community a fine example of our youth. The Reserve Officer Training Corps provides many school services such as color presentations at athletic events and direction at open house. They also represent Madison in the many R.O.T.C. inter-scholastic and Old Town Christmas Parades. R.O.’s Select Queen for San Diego’s Annual R.O.T.C. Ball Following tradition, San Diego’s annual R.O.T.C. Ball was held at the Masonic Temple in Mission Valley. This formal dance was held on March 13, a Saturday. Members of the R.O.T.C. and their dates, from several San Diego high schools, at- tended. Senior, Karen Sue Williams reigned as queen from Madison. Donna Huff, Junior attendant and Kathy Greene, sophomore attendant were members of Karen’s court. RIGHT: Chris Barrow offers suggestions on formation of the platoons during marching drills.
