Three Clubs Benefit From Mr. Steinmetz’s Supervision Teaching speech and drama classes. Mr. Stcin- mctz still found time to supervise three clubs: Speech Club. Model U.N., and Human Relations. From its Christmas season mistletoe sale and the Valentine’s Day corsage and boutonniere sale. Speech Club raised enough money to attend city- wide speech tournaments. At these meets. Madison speakers excelled in many areas. Model U.N. was a group of students who acted as delegates from either Bolivia, Denmark. Hungary. Indonesia. Saudi Arabia, West Germany, or the National Liberation Front. Madison delegates met with other high school representatives and discussed problems that were typical to the real United Na- tions sessions. Human Relations also had an active year. They listened to speakers who were involved in drug programs and student mobilization committees. Also, they participated in some student activist programs.
