Ecology Club Raises $98 Through ‘Pennies for Pines’ Posters reading “Save a Tree” and Ecology Club members carrying dona- tion cans were commonly seen on campus this fall as part of Ecology Club's Pen- nies for Pines drive. From this fund- raising event, pine seedlings were pur- chased for the Northern San Diego areas which were ruined by the huge county-wide fires early this school year. The reseeding of erosion-dangered areas was another successful Ecology Club project. Key Club Renders Service to Others Key Club, a community and school ser- vice organization, is a branch of Kiwanis Club International. It consists of selected boys, chosen for their good citizenship standards and their participation in school, clubs and sports. This year. Madison's Key Club has been involved in numerous activities, including monthly Kiwanis Club-sponsored break- fasts, a Cystic Fibrosis drive and taking the sons of some prisoners of war to various sporting events. Also, they brought water, blankets and other supplies to victims of the northern county brush fires in Septem- ber. Sponsoring such successful events.
