Foreign Hxchangc Students - Roberto Rivielloand Agung Soctijoso. Roberto Rivicllo, from Poten a, Italy, was born January 4, 1954. During the school year he has stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Hdward Hobson and family in Claircmont. Roberto has immensely enjoyed his stay in the United States and says he has found very much friendliness.” He says Italian high school students arc pretty much the same as American students except that the Italians arc more politically involved on campus. When Roberto returns to Italy he plans to attend college and study philosophy or political science. He hasn't yet established definite career goals. I want to spend my life not only for myself, but to be useful to society, This is the major goal in life of the foreign exchange student from Java. Agung Soctijoso. Agung. born April 2, 1952 has stayed with the Fred H. Jensen family of Claircmont during the year, lie was impressed by the size of Madison since almost all Indonesian schools have no more than about 700 people. When Agung returns to Java, he plans to attend medical school. After becoming a doctor, he hopes to be able to bring medicine to the people who really need it in his country. Activities 149

Madleens Make Messy Mistake After long hours of painting, blue- speckled Madleens tearfully watched their work wash away as navy blue water-base paint streamed down the sides of fifty trash cans. This is an ex- ample of how one Madleen project. “Campus Beautiful.” resulted, but it was hardly typical of the group's many successful activities. For instance, their Halloween carnival at Sharp Reha- bilitation center turned out to be very amusing. On that occasion, they trans- formed into twenty frightening and funny-looking characters and enter- tained the patients with various “tricks and “treats.” When the Madleens were not busy at the rehabilitation center or were not organizing bake sales, the girls acted as the official hostesses at Mad- ison functions.
