The Reward... Four Day Singing Tour in Arizona With long hours of tiring rehearsals and more hours of hard work raising money behind them, the eighteen excited members of our Honor Ensemble piled onto a bus and were off to Arizona. To earn money for their trip the group worked for inventory in two com- munity stores. In addition to this and other projects they held a bene- fit concert at school. The group was invited to sing at the University of Arizona, for the music majors, by the muscical director. They performed their hour- long show “Getting to Know You for the community in Tucson, for several church groups and at Arizona State College. They sang in Mesa Arizona and stayed in the homes of members of a choral group there. The singing group from Mesa payed a return visit to Madison later in the year. The ensemble performed their entertaining program with the finesse of professionals. Long hours of dedicated practice under the fine directing of Mr. Davidson made possible the spirited, light- hearted show which was enjoyed by so many people.
