To give you an idea of her activities, we mention scheduling of classes, arranging of student and parent conferences, pre¬ paring college entrances, planning and giving tests, han¬ dling scholarship information and records, making speeches, and the main job of providing counseling for each student at James Madison. Norman L. Chaudet, B.S., M.A. University of Maryland Health and Physical Education Madison Club Sponsor As director of the athletic program for James Madison, Mr. Chaudet finds his time filled with many duties. The planning of a program to benefit all students, pro¬ viding equipment for classes and teams, scheduling inter¬ scholastic contests, attending meetings and conferences make up part of his schedule. 16

When we lag behind and get out of step, he is the one who has to remind us of our re¬ sponsibilities to our school, our parents, and especially to ourselves. George G. Dozier, A.B., M.A. University of North Carolina Assistant Principal for Instruction To keep instruction at a high professional level and the faculty a well integrated group working for the whole school program takes patience and wisdom. With his quiet humor and southern drawl, Mr. Dozier performs a difficult task with apparent ease.

Faculty The faculty of James Madison High School represents a wide variety of experiences and backgrounds. We have teachers coming from eighteen different states. A large number have worked in special summer programs to further their professional standings.
