gfmlcfzlff ......... Being citizens of the United States of America, we each have the in- herent right to liberty, equality, and democracy, as well as the oppor- tunity and privilege of attending a public school to acquire a liberal edu- cation. We of America often take for granted these privileges with which we have been blessed. But these were endowed to us by our forefathers. given to us in trust and confidence, and we today should try to work to be deserving of them. A high school education is important in developing in the student high morals and principles. It gives a person confidence in his abilities and shows him a view of a brighter future. In a school, those in search of knowledge can have the satisfying experience of discovering it. There the appreciation of scholarship, the responsibility of citizenship and the love of democracy will be implanted in us, attributes which will always remain with us. tif . ?Q?ff?5ffZi tv L8 N. ri Q 5-diy e .-Q, W A rv 'K f ' O QC R 22

Wu .Qefzm ......... As we complete our final session of high school, we pause to contem- plate the years in review. We remember the eighth grade antics, the crispness of the first football game, the thrill of formal dances, the buzz of excitement upon receiving Senior privileges, the painting of the water towers, the elegance of the Senior prom, and the tears of com- mencement and graduation. These all go to make up the wonderful years We have spent in high school. Although we have not always attended Madison, we have the privilege of being the first graduating class. During the past two years, we have established traditions and set ideals that future graduating classes might follow. Now, as We face the world to lead our own individual lives, many friendships will fade and many pranks will be forgotten, but we will always carry with us these cherished memories. x N950 'I' :iw :RQ N I' 4 E' -' -. fy!
