1312.57 SOP THROUGH 'I FROSH OUR FIRST YEAR UNDER THE BIO TOP: lt was really a three-ring circus, with us wandering in utter confusion from ring to ring. Here the gaudy Go-Cietters, there the liashy Boosters, all rigged out in jaclcets and sweaters hlazing their school emlulems. They stood out like guiding beacons. Guiding us to what? VVe listened and learnedl The long sleep was over: extracurricular activities had been revived. Nlusic Filled the air. It was our liirst Sing. Vve were a gorgeous color-wheel. hut we could not compete with the sophomores' lorilliant Uselling of lVladison. Alasl VVe came in only third. But how clever of us-there was a fourth place we could have filled. And then it was Spring, and we were great hig Second Termers, operating our concession at the lvlardi Gras. Vvhat tunl This was the term, too, when the S. G. O. turned into financial wizards and arranged for Century Theater discounts. Blue jeans were also discounted that year and lxfladison girls went all feminine. Thus our first hig year came to a memorable close. Q X OUR SECOND YEAR UNDER THE BIO TOP: Time pranced on and we prancecl with it, out to the Golden West. nvvestward Holm was our Sing theme that year, and we climhed up a notch to second place. Life was a circus, all right. Our loaslcethall team that season played in the liinals tor the division championship. To celebrate this happy event a victory dance was held, which was a roaring success. Once more music lilled the air, as the music department gave an un' equalled Spring performance. ul lilce lice, 'Stevenson lor President were the cries uttered hy Nladison students as well as by millions of other Americans. The Presidential election was an event which occupied our minds for many months. Under the new S. G. 0. administration, slcating parties were inaugurated. Ding-a-lingl What, no warning hell? No, came a cry from the center ring. From that time on, one hell ended the period. Seasonale was something new to us, and we enjoyed every minute ol it. All Circus acts were suspended for summer activityl
