All Aboard It was in forty-seven that Our journey we'd begun Aboard that jolly vessel called The Good Ship Madison. The Captain was a hearty chap Intelligent and able. But no one ever wanted to Sit with him at his table. He had some good lieutenants who Pink tickets used to sell. 'Twas not long in our voyage that We knew their cabins well. The crew they were a jolly lot Who knew of many things. Of theorems, of Spanish verbs, Of when the late bell rings. The ship itself was well designed Equipped for stormy seas. It had a lot of portholes, And we often gazed at these. And so upon our four-year course We sailed with little care. Although we sometimes suffered from A bit of mal de mer. He has been at Madison for 292 years and contends that his time in the army gave him an appreciation of the finer things in life. Perhaps, the philosophical in our famed bard forced him to give this Hnal comment, It is indicative of a not too perfect situation when a teacher with two suits becomes a fashion plate. MOST ELOQUENT-Mrs. Whitlock The lady of the golden tongue, Mrs. Whitlock, was very mod- est when informed of her election as most eloquent teacher. I attribute my success to my students. I've learned to spell, I've learned to write sentences, plus many other things which I do not care to mention. Why, just standing in the Highway office you get eloquence by osmosis, remarked the famed mentor of the school's newspaper. GREATEST SERVICE TO STUDENTS-Mr. Tobin Mr. Tobin, our college adviser for over 17 years says that he considers his work. Uthe most interesting type of work I could imagine.
