Six Planning the Frolics. Perusing an agenda. At the tea honoring Miss Lewis. At a meeting of the Bowen High School Council. With Mrs. Seligman at the P.T.A. Christmas Tea. Addressing a meeting in the Little Theatre. C0 the graduates af I9 2 During your four years of high school you have studied many factors which have contrib- uted to good citizenship. Now that you are about to enter a wider field in which to practice good citizenship, it is well to focus your attention on some of the more salient aspects of this important phase of living,-human relations. The basis, the indispensable condition for successful human relations, is recognition of the dignity and worthwhileness of every human being. This recognition must have its roots deep in a spiritual soil. There must be a real study and understanding of the expression all men are created equal. From these thoughts comes the realization that every human being is of more worth than the entire physical universe. With these ideas as a starting point the road ahead seems more clear-human values be- come evident-action based on friendship ensues. The result is a community of cooperative persons striving for the common good of all. May each one of you, then, do his share in bringing about this much desired outcome. Sincerely, v I 5 n

U16 Assistant Priuczyfal MR ELI J. GOLDBERG The theme of your yearbook for 1952 is Program and Schedules in Our School Life. Not unlike such a theme for school life is also one for post-high school life and living, for that is the great venture upon which you are now embarking. This will prove to be a journey of vast and divergent avenues. For some of you, a program for the foreseeable future is well planned: further schooling, employment C travel and yes, marriage, tooj. For others, and probably just a few, only a mixture of thoughts and ideas without any fixed goals or definite plans for the present. However, as the years unfold those of you who have a program of life will gradually attain that for which you have plannedg and those whose programs have not as yet been formulated- will gradually develop thoughts and actions for the future, You will discover, as you travel this program of life and living, that problems will arise and answers must be given. Take these problems as a matter of course, 'and use your experiences, education and wisdom to formulate answers that will provide you with an abundance of contentment for your program through life and living. 57 Izzqhz
