ll, is ELENORE SHIRLEY LINDGREN W Biff ff Treas. NA VICI-I DON I KNEZEVICH Vice Pres. HORACE I ' Y . Pres. Eluss History af Sfcbruary 1944 As we, the seniors, turn the pages of this year's Bowenite, we likewise turn in our minds the memories of our high school years. It seems impossible to realize that four years have slipped by since our entrance into Bowen. ' February 1940, started our Freshman year, this year, rather dim in our memory now, was the one in which we first began to make the friendships which we were to keep during our school years, and perhaps all our lives. It was in this first year that we began to earn our Tau Pi Alpha credits, work for National Honor, and join the other organizations' open to freshmen. S As Sophomores we became more familiar with school life and began to venture opinions at Student Board meetings, attend football games, senior plays, and join the choruses. Yes, we were establishing ourselves on a firm base for our next two years. In our Junior year many of us had, the honor of being elected into the National Honor Society, we earned our Tau Pi Alpha keys, and began to hold offices in various clubs. Then came our senior year, and it was just as wonderful as we anticipated. There was the thrill and suspense of senior elections: our social committee sponsoring the senior hay ride, and as the end of the semester drew near, there was our Class Day Program, the Senior Award assembly, in which the outstanding students were honored, and last but not least, the highlight of,our' social events, the new and patriotic Victory Prom which was held in our school gym. We certainly have had a wonderful Senior year and now, as graduation draws near, the best wishes of our entire senior class go out to several of our fellow classmates who are now in the Armed Forces.
