The girls hockey team had quite a successful season this year under the supervision of Mrs. Byron and Mrs. Shatzer. This was the third year for hockey in our school and both teams earned the title of undefeated, The Varsity won one game with Greencastle 3-0 and tied the second one 0-0. They defeated Scotland 5-2 and tied the second one 0-O. The game they played with Penn Hall was a 1-1 tie. The Junior Varsity won both games against Greencastle, with 'scores of 2-0 and 4-1. They won the Penn Hall game 2-1 and then defeated Scotland 3-0. They tied the other game 0-0. Next year's hockey team will miss the following seniors who will be graduated this year: Betty Lee Benedick, Nancy Snider, Jeanne Price, Janet Lamaster, Nancy Huber, Marlene Riley, and Patty Vanderau, who has served as scorekeeper for Varsity Nancy Snider Alma Ryder Shirley Shatzer Jeanne Price Marlene Riley High Scorers three years.
