The Buchanan Rockets started their 1955 season by handing the Blue Devils of Greencastle High a 3-2 defeat on their own field. This was one of the most exciting games of the year. Highlighting the conference play was the sound whipping the Rockets handed their rivals from Fannett Metal High. This game was played on the Saint Thomas field and it was the deciding factor in the second half playoffs. The Hockmen walked away with a 4-0 victory and also the league crown. The home club took their school colors into the District 3 Play- offs where they overpowered the East Juniata eleven by a slim margin of 1-0. After defeating East Juniata on the Rocket's home field, the Rockets journeyed to Dillsburg to play the North Lebanon team in the second round of the District 3 P. I. A. A. Playoffs. This is where the rockets met disaster by losing to a powerful North Lebanon team by a score of Z-0. This defeat automatically eliminated the Rockets from the District 3 Playoff and brought to an end the Buchanan Soccer Season for 1955.
