Malone heads up new school Cp, .SY V e.e , lla-.Wi f Preparations for the opening of Bowie began long before the August opening for new principal Doyle Malone. Decisions such as school colors, mascot, and fac- ulty selection had to be made. Mr. Malone's contagious enthu- siasm was quickly spread throughout the student body. The muddy surroundings, noisy con- struction crew, and unfinished building were among the many obstacles he had to overcome. His hard work and genuine spirit made Bowie's first year a suc- cess.
