Mr. Roy Wood Assistant Superintendent Malone heads up new school Cp, .SY V e.e , lla-.Wi f Preparations for the opening of Bowie began long before the August opening for new principal Doyle Malone. Decisions such as school colors, mascot, and fac- ulty selection had to be made. Mr. Malone's contagious enthu- siasm was quickly spread throughout the student body. The muddy surroundings, noisy con- struction crew, and unfinished building were among the many obstacles he had to overcome. His hard work and genuine spirit made Bowie's first year a suc- cess. I fs f. .5 Q. Deans Work for students A vice principal's job is one that deals both with teachers and stu- dents. Kenneth Greene works with teachers setting up the stage for learning, and works with young men urging them to establish good study habits, work habits, and attendance habits . Mr . Green stays busy supervising school functions during and after school. Miss Jane Ellis, in her new job as Dean of Girls, also has a busy job. She pursues her job with the enthu- siasm of her former choir conduct- ing years. Miss Ellis compares run- ning her office to preparing a choir of many voices to sing. I must use sensitivity and understanding, tend- erness and beauty , she muses , and I like it. 25551 . k, wt. , ,,,, . K .,, . .. 1, Sa ragga J . 'PS-1, A . . L. .. - f '--- ' kfii . The real church is people who are dedicated , cleansed, and committed - a people whose devo- tions are Christ centered . They, in a word, are Christians. They are people seeking to honor Christ in their lives. The church is beautiful, not in proportion to the architectural quality of its member's lives. The church that meets in a beautiful building is fortu- nate, but the church composed of people who are living beautiful lives is blessed beyond measure. According to industry records, for each ten persons entering the insurance field only five receive a temporary license, only three receive a permanent license, and usually one will reach the level of career success initially desired. Here's where Leonard's Training Programs can help! Preparation of applicants for the temporary licensing exams takes 2 days - and our programs are guaranteed. Training programs for perma- nent licensing exams run two to fourteen weeks and meet, or exceed, the State educational re- quirements. Continuing programs for career development are also offered.
