Therefore, we strive to help pupils understand the social function of science and to think and act in relation to the implications of science and technology for co- ciety. Basic courses are offered in biology, chemistry and physics, and advanced courses in biology and chemistry.

Foreign Languages In order to insure better transition from the high school to the college level of language study, the teachers of the Foreign Language Department felt that their first step should be to establish good com¬ munication with as many college professors as pos¬ sible. This led to the description of the general strengths and weaknesses of language students who enter college and the outlining of the specific differ¬ ence of instruction on the college level.
