Mrs. Patron 1969 Mrs. Catherine Surgeon Mrs. Surgeon, you have been chosen as Mrs. Patron of 1969 be¬ cause you found time among your many many chores to solicit patrons for Our Dudley High. In doing so you demonstrated your love for a wonderful school. That $96 you col¬ lected for us was exceeded only by two other persons in the whole school. One of those who beat you was your own kin. So you have rea¬ son to be doubly proud of your con¬ tribution. We will always love and cherish you whenever and wherever you go. Pity that there are not thousands like you. As our alma mater says: Deep thoughts of love, we ' ll always have for you . . . we ' ll ever praise and love thee ...

For the second time in as many years, he has come up with top honors among young men for the coveted title of Mr. Patron of 1969. Thank you, Norman. Your contribution of $115 is a tre¬ mendous task as well as a gigantic contribution to the Yearbook. Would you believe that most of his soliciting was done by himself? You see, his aunt--who is pictured on the next page--also made her contribution to the cause.
