The group's goals were to complete the card catalogue by bring- ing it up-to-date and to make micro- fiche available for research purposes. Club members also helped to improve the library by putting books back on the shelf and doing other odd jobs. Profits from fund-raising activities sponsored by the club were used to purchase needed material and equipment. The main fund-raising activity was their sale of red. pink, and peppermint carnations for Valentine's Day. They hoped to top last year's figure of $263.00. Another project sponsored by the club was the Guesstimation contest in which per- sons who guessed how many treats were in the jack-o-lantern would win all the treats. Gloria Woods was the winner of the contest. Club officers were Carolyn Young, president: Willie Wade, vice-president: Sharon Miller, secretary-.
