Custodial And Lunchroom Staffs Better Environment The James A. Shanks lunchroom staff was well-trained in order to produce an average of 275 meals for breakfast and 650 meals for lunch daily. Preparing a well-balanced meal, appointing everyday responsibilities, and keeping operations running smoothly were just a few jobs of Shanks' lunchroom manager. Mrs. Myrtle Schofield. The prices of lunches and salads were sixty-five cents for full price, and thirty-five cents for reduced price. Breakfasts were twenty cents for full price and ten cents for reduced price. Keeping Shanks dean for 782 students proved to be difficult for the five-member custodial staff. Mr. Arduster House took care of all electrical items that needed to be repaired. Sweeping the classrooms, and cleaning the restrooms along with general cleaning kept the other members busy. Even though Mr. Arduster House has a hard day of work ahead of him. he still has a smile on his face. Quickly and efficiently. Mrs. Helen Schofield prepares the hamburger buns. Custodial workers are Rosa Cannon. Josephine Fleming. Durvie Brown, and Willie Northern. Members of the lunchroom staff are Susie Scott. Helen Schofield. Sarah Susan Thursby. Evelyn Marshall. Lottie Bouie. Katie Allen. Vonselle Matthews. Myrtle Schofield, and Shirley Brogdon. Enjoying a well-balanced meal is Anthony Love. 55
