Math Courses Are Improved Society has acquired a need for technological advancement. Today ’s high school students are headed into an era of unprecedented competition. The eight-member Math Department continued to expand to meet the needs of a technologically- advancing world. Math analysis, taught by Mrs. Leola Francis, was added to the wide variety of courses offered. Other classes were business math. Algebra I. Algebra II. Algebra III. geometry, traditional math, and remedial math. Seventh period classes were offered before and after school to prepare students for the changes brought about by the RAISE Rill. A new teacher. Mr. Albert Vealey. was added to the faculty. Returning to the Math Department was Mrs. Willie Ruth Williams who taught Algebra II and general math. Mrs. Francis returns homework to At Brown. Surrounded by students. Mrs. Elaine Richardson explains results of their quiz. Willie Mae Sweet seeks help from Mr. Vealey. Mrs. Mildred Ross explains a problem to Pernell Mitchell 43
