Junior Class Officers Plan For Fund-raising Activities Of the 229 juniors enrolled at James A. Shanks High School, five were elected as class officers. These were president. Rosilyn Walken vice-president. Artesa Wash- ington; secretary. Pamela Young: treasurer. Darlean Youmans: and parliamentar- ian. Clarence Bryant. These students had to maintain a ”C average. have no P's” in conduct and he free from office disciplinary action. In order to he elected as an officer, they had to he voted on hy the entire junior class. Sponsors were Mrs. Linda Thomas, chairperson; Miss Shirlean Thomas. Mr. Willie Green. Mrs. Rebecca Campbell. Mr. James Pelham. Mrs. Willie Ruth Williams. Mr. Ricky Bell. Mr. Carlos Gaskin. Mrs. Rena Jackson. Mrs. Leola Francis. Mrs. Mildred Ross. Mrs. Alma Byrd. Mrs. Nanette Lawrence, and Sergeant James Lowe. Several fund- raising activities were planned with approximately fifteen students on each com- mittee. Assisting Mrs. Elaine Richardson in decorating her bulletin board is Ben Nolen. Cheryl Sapp and Gregory Vickers represent the junior class as Mr. and Miss Junior Giving blood to the Leon County Blood Bank is Dolene Hunter 121
