Driver Education Provides Training Driver Education provided students with a chance to put into practice the skills taught to them in the classroom. Mr. Dour- est Robinson and Mr. Eugene Scott taught the basics of driving to sophomores in a semester course. After passing a written examination and attaining a restricted license, students were allowed to drive in a dual-control student driver car. Parallel parking and three-point turns were practiced repeatedly in order to achieve perfection. A certificate was given upon completion of the course, after the student received his re- quired number of hours of driving and classroom studies. Mr. Robinson presents Wanda Green with her certificate of completion for the course. Mr. Scott awaits a student’s arrival. David Vickers and Mr. Robinson prepare to leave campus for a driving session. 53
