Mr. and Miss Senior are Jolene Miller and Timothy Hughes. Seniors Prepare To Conquer Tomorrow We as seniors have journeyed from elementary school to high school. We have had moments of joy and of pain. Although the pain was sometimes hard to bear, the joys of being a senior were never underestimated. Thinking and planning were the objectives we possessed from grade school to high school. These lead us to leave Shanks with the feeling of being young adults ready to conquer our goals. Superlatives Gain Top Recognition Senior superlatives for the Class of 1982 were chosen by the senior class on February 4. Each senior homeroom nominated contestants for the various categories and voted for them after the names were compiled. The general standards for a nomi- nee were that he must not have had a police record, expulsion and no more than two UV in citizenship during his years at Shanks. The Best All Around and Scholarship superlatives were required to have at least a B” average.
